Top 6 Affordable Yoga Essentials on Amazon
Welcome to my little guide of affordable yoga essentials! I have purchased all of these off of Amazon, because of the convenience and the reviews!
Amazon reviews are SO helpful when you’re deciding on what brands or types of products to buy.
I often look up reviews when I’m in an actual store, just to see what users on Amazon have rated a product before I buy it.
One of the beautiful things about yoga is that it’s a very minimalist exercise. You generally only need your body and your yoga mat.
That being said, there are a few essentials that make practice easier and more comfortable, and who couldn’t use another pair of yoga pants in their life?
Am I right?
The products I have listed below are products that I have personally purchased and used after doing all of the research behind them on Amazon.
Top 6 Affordable Yoga Essentials on Amazon

Yoga Mat
First thing’s first… Let’s go over the yoga mat.
YogaAccessories 1/4″ Extra Thick Deluxe Yoga Mat
A good and trusty yoga mat is the one vital ingredient you need in your yoga practice.
The main two factors to consider are thickness and stickiness. Stickiness as in good for downward facing dog pose, not as in sticky like your kid’s fingers! 😉
This mat is quite sticky and has helped me a lot with poses like downward facing dog, arm balances, and inversions.
I like the thickness of this one as well. When it comes to thickness, the thickest is not always the greatest. While it does provide more cushion for the knees, it makes the mat quite bulky and hard to store and transport.
A mat that is too thick can also make it a little harder to balance. I think this 1/4″ mat is a perfect balance between too thin and too thick!
I got the Yoga Accessories 1/4″ mat in “Light Green.”

Travel Mat
Manduka eKO SuperLite Yoga Mat, Acai
You may or may not need this one in your life. It will make it a lot easier when you’re going to yoga class or traveling.
I bought this one before we traveled to Nicaragua and Bali, and I love it so much that it has actually become my main yoga mat.
It’s SO light and versatile, which makes it easier to wrap up and store in a corner without being too bulky. It also takes up about HALF as much space as a standard yoga mat.
Perhaps my FAVORITE feature of this mat though is how sticky it is. It’s even stickier than the standard yoga mat that I just described in #1.
I got the Manduka travel mat in “Acai.”

Yoga Strap
8 Ft Yoga Strap by Clever Yoga
This is #3 on my list of affordable yoga essentials, but it has been a VERY IMPORTANT tool in my practice!
A yoga strap allows you to fast track your flexibility progress by allowing you to hold more advanced poses without compromising your form.
It has helped me tremendously with my back and hamstring flexibility.
Oh and it’s less than $10 bucks, so why not!? This baby has traveled with me to Seattle, Colorado, Florida, Nicaragua, AND Bali in the last year!
Alex bought me this Clever Yoga 8ft Strap the first week of my practice, and it majorly helped me increase my flexibility in my first few months!

Yoga Pants
90 Degree by Reflex – Performance Activewear – Printed Yoga Leggings
You knew these were going to be on here, right?
This brand has some awesome designs; they’re CRAZY affordable and SO comfortable!
I actually bought two pairs of these, because I loved them so much! At that price, you can totally justify getting yourself a pair of crazy leggings that are just for yoga practice!
I also wear these around the house as pajamas though, because they really are that comfortable!
I got the 90 Degree by Reflex Leggings in Pink and Blue.

Sports Bra
CRZ Yoga Criss Cross Back Sports Bra
So yeah, a sports bra can be purchased anywhere of course.
I did find this really great one on Amazon that I love though. I bought it for yoga because I thought the straps looked really cool.
One of my favorite uses for it now though is also for a “t-shirt” bra. I love to wear it underneath my V-necks, and just around the house during the day.
It’s light enough that you almost don’t even notice that it’s there!
Oh, and it’s only $17 bucks! Helloooo awesome Amazon deal!
I bought the CRZ Criss Cross in White.

Yoga Blocks
One accessory that I did not purchase at the beginning of my practice and WISH that I had is a set of good yoga blocks.
I intended to, but we were traveling at the time and just didn’t have space for them. I finally got a chance to use some in Bali though, and they were great!
The Peace Yoga Blocks are great because they come in a set of 2. Gaiam Yoga Blocks are also very highly rated and come from a very reputable brand, although they are little more expensive because you have to buy them separately.
Some other accessories you may find useful include a yoga mat carrying bag, yoga socks, and a yoga mat cleaning spray and towel combo.
